Daniel Jaewon Jung

I was born in Irvine, California, as the eldest child of engineer parents, and I have one younger sister. I lived in Irvine and Champaign before moving to Korea during elementary school. I attended a Korean school until middle school and then transferred to KIS High School in the second semester of 9th grade, where I am currently enjoying my school life.
Through my high school studies and various activities such as invention, research, golf, and theater, I discovered my passion for collaborating and problem-solving with others in projects and team activities. When I considered what to study in college, I became drawn to biomedical engineering, a field where the integration and cooperation of medicine, biology, and engineering technologies are essential. I am particularly passionate about developing low-cost intelligent medical devices that can provide high-quality healthcare services to areas with insufficient medical systems.
